Our Team

Angie - Dental Assistant

Angie started at RTDC in 2001 as a CDA. She is well-known in the office for her contagious laugh and great smile. When not at work, Angie loves to spend time with her son and friends at her trailer, going to see movies, and travelling.

Kristi - Front Desk

Kristi joined our team in November 2013. She graduated from St. Lawrence College with a diploma in Office Administration and furthered her education with a Certified Dental Reception Certificate with the O.D.N.A.A. Kristi has a passion for her career and truly enjoys her new found family here at RTDC. At home, she is a proud mother of two and she is still striving for her “mother of the year” award.

Therese - Office Manager

Therese has been with the practice since 1996 working as the Office Manager. Initially she worked with her husband who retired in 2009 and continued working for Dr. Walid after this date. Therese’s extracurricular activities include playing soccer, volleyball, dancing and learning Spanish. She also loves to travel with her husband and daughter.

Carrie - Hygienist

Carrie graduated from Dental Hygiene at Algonquin College in 2004 with honours. The following year, she started working at this office. In 2010, she married and now has 2 beautiful sons and a daughter. While on maternity, Carrie enjoys spending time with family, gardening, baking, live theatre and being outdoors.

Emily – Hygienist

Emily joined our team in August of 2017. She is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene and has been working in the dental field since 2003. When not at work, Emily enjoys dining out, movies, concerts and mostly spending quality time with her husband and two beautiful children.

Amey – Hygienist

After graduating from Biotechnology at St. Lawrence College in 2000, Amey entered Dental Hygiene in Ottawa and graduated in 2003. She started working at RTDC right after graduating. Amey spends most of her free time with her husband and son while keeping fit working out, running, and playing soccer.

Our Gananoque Office Team

Nivea - Hygienist

Nivea started her dental career in Kingston after studying in Ottawa as a dental assistant in 1984. After working for a few years, she returned to Algonguin College and obtained her Registered Dental Hygiene Diploma in 1987. In 1997, she became a self initiated Registered Dental Hygienist which allows her to work independently in a dental office.

Norma – Hygiene Co-ordinator

Norma has lived in Gananoque all her life. And she has been working with Dr. Burgess for 30 years as both dental assistant and receptionist. Her spare time is spent camping, boating, and watching her granddaughters play hockey.

Angie – Reception

In 1997, Angie graduated from Dental Assisting at KLC in Kingston. After gaining some experience in the Kingston area, Angie started working with Dr. Burgess in 2000. Presently Angie is on maternity after giving birth to her son and looks forward to returning to work in April 2016. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and shopping.

Aimee – Dental Assistant

Aimee brings 10 years of dental experience to our office. Her quiet demeanour and constant effort is an asset to our office. She spends her time away from work with her son and daughter and extended family.

Amber – Dental Assistant

Amber graduated from KLC College in 2018 and received the Clinical Excellence Award. As well as working at our office, Amber also works in hospitality part time at a local restaurant. When time allows, she loves to explore the outdoors with friends, family and her dog named Chew Chew.
